The weather is getting colder? San Diego weather can be very confusing. Our rain is interesting, as in by definition yes it’s rain but when compared to other places.. I question why we call it rain when it’s enough to make your dirty car dirtier but not enough to fully rinse it off.
TLDR: I will be taking the holidays to come up with more content to post!
Anyways, my order for the October 2025 Moon Yarn from Crow & Crescent Yarn Co came!! It actually came a while ago but I couldn’t bring myself to open it after some recent news. So my path is changing yet again. In case you missed it, I posted pics on Instagram:
As the holidays approach I will be taking some time to come up with some new posts! I might even be considering a Just Chatting session or Watch Party on Twitch! But you didn’t hear that from me. If you have any ideas please feel free to reach out over Instagram or through my website’s contact form. (Both receive spam, so please keep in mind it may take me a while to find your message and reply!)
So new news? I’ve been reading Design Your Life by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans which has brought me some insights I wish I had a few years back! Would definitely recommend checking it out if you feel like you are stuck in figuring out your work-life-balance. I’ve also been working my way through The Green Witch by Arin Murphy-Hiscock, I do enjoy this book but I’m still relearning how to read… let’s rephrase that, relearning how to read with what is most likely ADHD. Let me tell you it’s a slow process for someone who’s never enjoyed reading.
Let’s see what else.. I’m in project limbo and have mostly corner to corner washcloths (or whatever you want to use it for) on the needles at the moment. I changed my mind quite a ways into the sweater I was going to make and will likely be frogging to approach it from a different angle. Why? because I like torturing myself. I haven’t posted a picture of it as I generally don’t take/post pictures until I’ve committed. But I’m about 5 inches into the body of the sweater from the cast-on edge, with some minor colorwork using virgin wool.
-sigh-
In the meantime, I’ve wound a bunch more yarn to potentially make the same cardigan pattern (that I’m writing as I go) or something else depending on how my brain feels when I get around to casting on. :P
In case you missed it here’s that yarn:
Alright I don’t want to keep you here forever, I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and read my posts! I hope you had a chuckle, a smile, but most most of all I hope it brought you some sort of joy!
Wishing you and your families a wonderful and safe holiday season!
-KK
