Knits Knacks’ List of Places to Knit (Map)

Looking for a cozy spot to knit? I’ve put together a Google Maps list of knitting-friendly places that’s easier to update and keep current than writing a separate blog post for every single one. (On occasion, some places may be added just because I want to share them with you! Be sure to read the notes I’ve left!)

Why the list instead of posts?

Well, for starters—I just spent an hour learning that you can’t embed a shared Google Maps List. You can manually recreate the whole thing as a custom map to embed, but that’s about three times the effort I signed up for.

Plus, since COVID, a lot has changed. Some of my go-to spots (yes, even a few Starbucks!) are gone or have shifted focus. Keeping the map list up to date means I can quickly add notes, edit entries, or remove closed locations without needing a whole post each time.

So if you’re looking for somewhere to knit—whether you’re local or traveling—take a peek at the map to see if I’ve already added a spot nearby. I’ve included short descriptions for each place, and the map will likely have more entries than I’ll ever get around to blogging about individually.

  1. I am really impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself? Anyway keep up the nice quality writing, it is rare to see a nice blog like this one nowadays.
